WSU student leaders protest recruiting athletes with sex-crime convictions

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) – Student leaders at Washington State University are asking the school to prevent the recruitment of any athlete convicted of a sex-related crime.

They sent the request in a letter last month to WSU’s President and Director of Athletics.

The letter urges the university to avoid recruiting athletes with priors related to rape, sexual assault, violence, and harassment, dating and domestic violence, and stalking.
