Delhi Police Crack Down on ‘Baba’ Gang in High-Stakes Currency Exchange Heist

Delhi Police have successfully apprehended two individuals involved in the sensational armed robbery of a currency exchange outlet in southwest Delhi, believed to be part of the notorious ‘Baba’ gang.

The suspects, Gaurav, aged 20, and Dipanshu, 21, were taken into custody possessing an array of weapons and recovered cash. The duo was apprehended based on a meticulous investigation, initiated after a daring heist that took place on February 14 in Mahipalpur, where Rs 1.5 lakh in cash and foreign currency totalling Rs 6 lakh were stolen.

CCTV footage was instrumental in tracing a rented vehicle linked to the gang leader, Bhola Shankar. Despite the arrest of Gaurav and Dipanshu, Shankar remains elusive, with police intensifying efforts to bring him to justice amidst fears of future crimes.
