A vet who was fined €12,500 for his role in allowing a euthanasia drug to be administered to dogs by untrained staff at a Dublin dog pound is facing further investigation by the Veterinary Council of Ireland.

Sydney Nagle, of Hollystown, Dublin 15, owns the Cara Vets practice in Blanchardstown. He appeared before Dublin Central Criminal Court last week, in the latest phase of prosecutions following an investigation into Ashton Dog Pound.
