The 10 most expensive property sales in Bristol so far in 2024

The Bristol property market has seen a steady start to 2024, with prices edging up in some districts. In the city centre area for example, the average home sold for £333,806 in January, which was nearly £12,000 more than in the previous month.

However, prices are still falling in some of the more affluent areas of the city, including Redland and Clifton, where homeowners appear to be struggling to find buyers for properties at the higher end of the market.

We’ve taken a look at the Bristol house sales registered so far in 2024 to show where properties are changing hands, and the final sales prices. All of these sales were registered by the Land Registry in January, although the sales may have been completed earlier.

Here is a list the 10 most expensive homes sold around the city which were registered since the start of the year:

£540,000 – Hobhouse Close, Westbury-on-Trym and Henleaze

A property in Hobhouse Close in the BS9 postcode area has new owners. It sold for £540,000, and the transfer of ownership was completed after it had been on the market for five months and two days. The house has a living area of 1,011 sqft, yielding a price per sqft of £534. The property offers four bedrooms and the energy efficiency of the property is rated C. The listing started with an asking price of £550,000.
