Gold jumps Rs 350 to hit fresh record high of Rs 71,700 per 10 grams
Gold prices in the national capital hit an all-time high on Monday and jumped Rs 350 to Rs 71,700 per 10 gm following a pick-up in safe-haven demand for the precious metal, according to HDFC Securities. The yellow metal prices have seen remarkable gains so far in 2024, becoming costlier by over Rs 7,700 per 10 gm. In the previous session, gold had ended at Rs 71,350 per 10 gm.

Nifty Bank hits fresh record high; what traders should do on Tuesday
The Indian rupee traded within a narrow range of 83.24-83.33, experiencing a gap-up opening but later surrendering gains due to a slight recovery in the dollar index. However, despite this, the rupee initially benefited from weak crude oil prices. The recovery of crude oil prices by 2% later in the day caused the rupee to relinquish its gains. Looking ahead, the rupee is expected to continue its sideways trend within the range of 83.15-83.55.
