Credit Direct Finance have been crowned champions of the 2026 Corporate Stars League Lagos after a hard-fought penalty shootout victory over TotalEnergies in a tense final, bringing a thrilling close to the International Workers Day corporate football spectacle.
The CSL, renowned as one of the most exciting corporate tournaments in Lagos, once again delivered on its promise, with leading organisations showcasing flair, skill, and intensity reminiscent of professional football.
Credit Direct’s triumph was a testament to grit and determination throughout the competition. Their road to the final included a nail-biting semi-final against Sohcahtoa Holdings, where they recovered from a group-stage stalemate to claim a hard-fought 1-0 victory.
On the other side of the bracket, TotalEnergies edged past oil and gas rivals International Energy Services by the same scoreline to book their place in the final.

In the third-place play-off, Sohcahtoa bounced back strongly, defeating International Energy Services to claim the bronze medal.
The individual honours were equally competitive. Joseph Karina of Credit Direct Finance claimed the Golden Boot as the tournament’s highest scorer, while his side also took home the Best Manager award. TotalEnergies’ Elena Kura was named MVP, and Red Bull NG were recognized with the Fair Play award. All participating offices received certificates of participation.
Nigerian music acts M’kido and Chinko Ekun, alongside PR strategist Dami Adenuga, were among the notable figures in attendance.
With their victory, Credit Direct Finance etched their name into the Corporate Stars League’s growing history, signing off the 2026 edition in style.
