Day EIGHT of Bobby Charles Refusing to Release His Personal Financial Disclosures

Share

Augusta, Maine — It’s been eight days since the Maine Monitor reported that Republican gubernatorial candidate Bobby Charles refused to release his personal financial disclosures. The DC lobbyist isn’t being transparent with Maine voters.

According to the Monitor:

“Charles declined to provide his own personal financial disclosure, saying he hadn’t heard people raise this issue yet in the campaign and does not “see the value” of adding personal finances to the conversation at this point in the governor’s race.”

Statement from Maine Democratic Party Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:

“What is Bobby Charles hiding? A DC lobbyist running for governor and refusing to share his personal financial disclosures is a huge red flag for Maine voters. Mainers deserve transparency, not a candidate ducking and dodging legitimate questions.”
