Hyderabad: BRS leaders lodged multiple complaints against union Minister Bandi Sanjay over his defamatory remarks against party president and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao accusing him of printing and distributing fake currency during elections. They sought legal action against the union Minister.

BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan and BRSV (student wing) president Gellu Srinivas Yadav approached Banjara Hills police, demanding legal action against Sanjay. The BRS leaders slammed the Union Minister for his statement at the BJP office on Sunday, where he alleged the existence of a fake currency printing unit in Bidar linked to Chandrashekhar Rao.

Speaking to the media, Sravan and Srinivas Yadav condemned Sanjay’s remarks, stating that such baseless allegations fuel public unrest.

“A union Minister should act responsibly, but Bandi Sanjay is spreading lies without any evidence. His statements must be investigated, and legal action should be taken against him,” they demanded.

Simultaneously, BRS leaders also filed a complaint with the Chennur Rural CI at Kotapalli Police Station in Mancherial district, urging legal proceedings against Sanjay for his inflammatory comments. Similar complaints are being filed by the BRS leaders against the union Minister across the State.

Meanwhile, BRS leaders including RS Praveen Kumar ridiculed Bandi Sanjay over his preposterous remarks, wondering how he was made a union Minister of State for Home. They dared him to reveal the exact details of the said printing press and the officials who investigated the case.

“What did the BJP govt in Karnataka and Centre do when you knew that there existed a press printing fake currency? Your cadres also may have received such fake currency notes in huge numbers, what prevented you from taking it up with RBI Governor or union Finance Ministry,” the former IPS officer asked.
