They told her to download an application for trading on the digital currency.Nandre said the victim followed the instructions and transferred Rs15.1 lakh from her two bank accounts to the crooks’ accounts through multiple transactions. The application showed that the teacher had earned profit, but the crooks did not give her the access rights to transfer the profit amount to her bank account. The victim made numerous communications with the crooks, requesting them to transfer the profit to her bank account but nothing happened. Later, the crooks demanded varying amounts citing govt tax, among others, from the teacher for receiving the profit sum.
