Fake Currency Case: Two Arrested in Fake Currency Case in Vijayawada | Vijayawada News

VIJAYAWADA: Nagarampalem police of Guntur district arrested two persons involved in a fake currency racket. The arrested persons were identified as Makala Vasudeva Rao (35) and Chandu Krishnaiah (36). CI Naresh Kumar, Makala had shared about his financial troubles with his friend Baaji. The latter promised Makal to provide him fake notes of 2 lakh in exchange for original notes worth 1 lakh. Believing, he could settle his debts with the fake notes, Makala agreed to the offfer. He told Baaji that he would arrange 10 lakh worth original currency notes and the latter sent Chandu on his behalf and asked Makala to exchange the notes with him. Later they found that Baaji had cheated them both.TNN
