Farke in line for multi-million pound boost
Daniel Farke is set to receive a multi-million-pound performance bonus if he takes Leeds United straight back to the Premier League, sources have told Football Insider.
The Whites moved back into second place in the Championship on Tuesday (13 February) after a crucial 4-0 away win at Swansea.
Farke negotiated a lucrative bonus as part of his contract before taking the Leeds job in the aftermath of their Premier League relegation last summer (2023).
The German is widely regarded as a promotion specialist in the Championship having won the league title twice during his time at Norwich City.
He signed a contract running until June 2027 at Elland Road.
Farke set for mega-money Leeds United promotion bonus
Nevertheless, Football Insider revealed on Thursday (15 February) that Farke is in line to be offered a new contract and big pay rise should he achieve promotion.
The former Borussia Monchengladbach boss has led his Leeds side to seven straight wins in the Championship, fuelling their push into the automatic promotion places.
Farke has helped bring the best out of talented Whites winger Crysencio Summerville and is now recapturing the best form of senior Italy international Wilfried Gnonto.
Leeds have won 20 of their 32 Championship games so far this term and are on course to match Reading’s 106-point record this term.
The Yorkshire giants have played one more game than third-place Southampton, who saw their 22-game unbeaten run ended by Bristol City on Tuesday.
Farke’s side are next in action against Plymouth Argyle on Saturday (17 February).
