The Prince’s Trust Black Pound Summer Marketplace
Youth charity The Prince’s Trust will return to Battersea Power Station on Friday 30th August to host a marketplace celebrating inspirational Black business owners!
Open for all to visit from 11am – 8pm, the marketplace offers a unique opportunity to stock up on unique and special gifts, including skincare products, homeware, clothing and sportswear, accessories and more.
The young stallholders have all been supported through the Trust’s Enterprise programme, a free course that helps young people to start their own businesses.
Situated on Level 1, Turbine Hall A (near le Bab), the marketplace is a celebration of a new generation of Black entrepreneurs and their up-and-coming businesses. It aims to raise awareness of how The Prince’s Trust supports young people to overcome challenges in their lives and realise their dreams of becoming their own boss.
In the meantime, you can check out some of the young people who will be in attendance here.
About The Prince’s Trust
The Prince’s Trust believes every young person should have the chance to succeed in life. Since it was founded by His Majesty The King in 1976, when he was HRH The Prince of Wales, the charity has helped more than a million young people across the UK. The charity is committed to enabling young people who have faced disadvantage and adversity to create a better future for themselves.
The courses offered by the Trust help young people aged 11-30 to develop essential life skills, learn from mentors and access job opportunities. Over the last five years, three in four of those Trust-supported young people have moved into work, education or training. Further information about The Prince’s Trust is available at princes-trust.org.uk.
