How did I know what to invest in? I asked my wife
Some investors rely on statistics, but I prefer the evidence of my eyes and ears and my family and friends to identify which shares to buy. For example, like most people a decade ago I hadn’t heard of Fever-Tree Drinks before I noticed my wife, Sue, and her girlfriends tipping the pricey tonic into their boutique gins.
As it turned out, this was near the beginning of what became a bit of a G&T craze, with many people happily paying a premium for mixers that do not contain artificial additives.
