Kate Forbes vows to slash red tape for global investment in Scotland
Kate Forbes has vowed to slash red tape to make Scotland the “obvious and only location” for global investment as part of plans to get the economy “firing on all cylinders”.
The new deputy first minister says she has returned to the front bench to “get stuff done” and today lays out her proposals to boost the energy industry, tech start-ups and the export market.
Writing in The Sunday Times, Forbes said: “My message is simple: Scotland is open for business. My plan is to prove that, to reduce the hurdles to investment, to market the opportunities and to prioritise jobs and wages, not bureaucracy.”
