Shapiro Admin announces investment to help young people find manufacturer jobs

YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM)– Leaders from the Crispus Attucks Center held an event in York this morning to discuss how society can better prepare young people for local manufacturing jobs.
Center leaders joined members of the Shapiro Administration and the local manufacturer’s Association to announce an investment they say will prepare local young people for manufacturing jobs.

The $100,000 grant will help develop Crispus Attuck’s manufacturing Training to Career Program. The program aims to help young people gain the skills they need to enter the manufacturing industry.
The Shapiro Administration said Governor Shapiro’s proposed budget would do more of this kind of thing, but some Republicans in the General Assembly worry the budget is too expensive.
