Inside Kerry Katona’s new ‘downsized’ home as she ‘gets mortgage after 15 years’

Kerry Katona has excitedly ‘downsized’ to her new abode in Cheshire – and given fans a tour of her stunning new home. The former Atomic Kitten singer showed off her stunning living room, expansive garden and more.

The reality TV favourite has moved ‘just up the road’ from her former home – and it marks a big moment for the mum-of-four. Kerry proudly announced that she’s secured a mortgage for the first time since her bankruptcy 15 years ago.

She shared: “I have just been approved by a high street lender for a mortgage – how amazing is that? To go from being bankrupt 15 years ago and renting for 15 years, to now finally being told I can have a mortgage.

“I think the wisest decision now is to downsize and put even more money in my savings and get my own house that belongs to me. Im really proud of myself and being very wise. I did all this by myself – all me. I’ve not stopped.”

Kerry admitted to being worn out from the move, having started her day at 4am. Despite battling hayfever and joking about risking a ‘broken back’, the ex-Celebrity Big Brother contestant gave a quick tour of her new home.

Living room

Kerry started the tour in her airy living room with a large grey L-shapes sofa and a large oak dining table and chairs next to the patio doors opening up on to the impressive garden.

She said: “It feels so much more homely – the other house was far too big, there just aren’t as many of us in it any more.”

Kerry added: “I need to get my artwork up yet – this is all I’ve got to show you so far, but it’s absolutely beautiful And look at the size of this garden!”

Garden

The garden is certainly impressive, featuring a large lawn and patio area with mature bushes enclosing it.

“I’ve always wanted a proper family home. Heidi’s leaving in September and I don’t want to be rattling around in a big house”, she confessed.

Office/pool room

In another room, still cluttered with boxes, Kerry has big ambitions. It will be transformed into an office and games room.

Kerry added: “This will be where the pool table and the office and desk will go. But we’re getting there.”

Gym

She then gave her Instagram followers a tour of a gym room, already filled with equipment, before stepping out into the property’s garden, boasting a vast lawn bathed in sunlight.

Bedroom

Next, she showed off her own bedroom, which like the rest of the house, features plush grey carpeting. She showed off a spacious mustard-coloured bed, and fitted wardrobes.

She also has plenty of space for a dressing table.

Bathroom

Kerry ended the tour in her new bathroom which features a roll-top bath underneath a sky light. “Look at that for a view – is that not just gorgeous?” she asked fans.

There’s also a separate shower and double sinks.
