A woman who had her application for a cost-rental apartment rejected because she did not meet the affordability criteria has said the housing crisis is leaving people with no option but to emigrate.
Jess Ní Mhaoláin (31) works as a policy adviser to Sinn Féin TD Martin Kenny, earns a decent wage and has always been able to pay her monthly rent.
