The dream of retiring to a tranquil seaside town is shared by many who don’t already reside on the coast.

But what if you’re not ready for retirement and want to enjoy coastal living while still working? The Covid pandemic has shown that many businesses can function perfectly well with employees working from home.

Seaside locations, once known for low-paid, seasonal jobs, are now viable places to live and work thanks to the shift towards remote working. With Brexit complications, the cost of living crisis, and the surge in staycations, owning a home on Britain’s coast rather than a foreign riviera is becoming increasingly appealing.

Property prices are generally rising, but in desirable locations, they’re skyrocketing. So, here are some homes on the Lancashire coast that are on the market right now and all for less than £50,000.

Queen’s Promenade, Bispham – £15,000

This leasehold flat on Queen’s Promenade in Bispham is going under the hammer with a guide price of £15,000. It includes a deception room, kitchen, bedroom and a bathroom.
