How To Win This Luxurious £2.5m Home
Take a peek inside this 18th-century Georgian home in the Yorkshire countryside, complete with six roomy bedrooms, a pool, paddocks, stables and state-of-the-art equestrian facilities.
The beautiful £2.5 million property could be yours as part of Omaze’s latest Million Pound House Draw, raising money for learning disability charity Mencap.
What’s more, the property comes mortgage-free, with all stamp duty and legal fees covered. The lucky winner will also receive an eye-watering £250,000 in cash and can decide to either live in the house, rent it out or sell it.
If the winner decides to rent it out, local estate agents estimate that the property could achieve a long-term rental value of between £6,000 to £7,000 per month.
Showcasing its original Georgian architecture, the property has been masterfully renovated with architraves, exposed beams, traditional mantels and red brick fireplaces, while boasting modern luxuries like state-of-the-art appliances.
Upon walking into the property, the first thing you’ll notice is the impressive hallway and grand staircase, alongside lots of natural light that highlights the beauty of the original stonework.
Moving into the bright and airy kitchen you’ll spot plenty of impressive features, such as an enamel-fronted five-oven Aga cooker, a butler sink and a marble-topped island. Adjacent to the kitchen is the traditional utility room with stunning stone slab shelves.
Next up is the stately dining room. With plenty of space for hosting evening soirees, this gorgeous room features light wood panels, a regal red brick fireplace and a large wood table for feasts aplenty.
Heading upstairs, there are four spacious bedrooms on offer, as well as four adjoining bathrooms. Opulent and romantic in equal measure, the principal bedroom sees vaulted ceilings, herringbone carpet and a traditional candy-striped bed bench.
But that’s not all. The second floor is home to an impressive loft apartment, complete with its very own kitchenette, sitting room, bathroom and two further bedrooms – ideal for extra guests.
Perhaps our favourite part of the property is the characterful boot room. With woodgrain counters, a butler sink, natural floorboards and bespoke blue carpentry, this room simply oozes countryside charm.
For the work-from-home aficionados, there’s also a pretty home office room with bespoke bookshelves and a built-in window seat to take in the surrounding countryside views.
If you ask us, the outside offering of this gorgeous property is just as impressive as the inside. As well as a sizeable York stone patio, there’s also a potting stand area, a heated spa pool, stables and 15 acres of immaculate gardens. Let’s not forget the addition of the orchard, dotted with apple, pear, plum, greengage and walnut trees.
The Omaze Million Pound House Draw will be raising money for Mencap, a charity that supports people with learning disabilities to help them live happy and healthy lives.
The draw closes on 29th September 2024 for online entries (paid entries start from just £10) and 1st October 2024 for postal entries (free). For full terms and conditions, visit www.omaze.co.uk.
