Human Remains Found in Propane Tank on Dee Warner’s Husband’s Property, Years After Woman Goes Missing: Police
Police have been searching since 2021 for the Michigan mother of four
Human remains were found in a tank on property owned by the husband of a Michigan mother of four who vanished in 2021, authorities said on Sunday, Aug. 18.
Dee Warner, 52, was reported missing on April 25, 2021, from her home on Munger Road in Tipton, which is about 65 miles southwest of Detroit and about 32 miles south of Ann Arbor.
On Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, during the execution of a search warrant in Lenawee County human remains were found on property belonging to her husband, Dale Warner, 56, Michigan State Police said in a statement Sunday.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 20.
“The remains are currently in the process of being recovered and there will be a great deal of work and testing completed before positive identification is made,” MSP said in the statement.
“The family of Dee Warner has been contacted and advised of the findings. This continues to be an ongoing investigation,” the statement said.
The missing woman’s family members said they believe the remains, which were found in a tank stored in a weather-worn, secluded barn on one of Dale’s properties off Paragon Road, are Dee’s.
The remains were found in a tank that usually holds anhydrous ammonia, which is used in fertilizer for farming, a family spokesperson told WTVG.
