‘Impressive’ Grade II coach house located within own estate dates back to 1600s
A “modern living property with a twist of character” is now up for sale in St Helens.
Situated within its own two-acre estate within Hall Lane, the “impressive” Grade II coach house dates back to the early 1600s. The five-bed property was developed into the Bold Hall Estate in the 18th century by former Wigan MP Peter Bold.
The original Bold Hall, designed by Venetian architect Giacomo Leoni, was a nine-bedroom mansion, however, this was demolished circa 1900. The east aspect of the coach house replicates in miniature form, the architectural details of the former hall’s principal elevation, according to the estate agency Refined Properties.

“The property is ideally situated for the Northwest commuter belt with the M62 being easily accessible and of course onward travel to the two regional and international airports too.
“The ground floor accommodation comprises a superb reception hall/dining room, kitchen/breakfast room, drawing room, sitting room, guest cloakroom, boiler room, laundry room and boot room. Home Farm Coach House is set within its gated estate and offers mature gardens, a boating lake and grounds.”
