Pictures shared after student property burgled in Nottingham
Officers investigating a burglary at a shared student property in Nottingham have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to.
The victim was at work when a burglar gained entry to the address, in Greenfield Street, Dunkirk, and stole his duffle bag containing valuables including a laptop, watch, and wallet which contained his bank cards.
His bank cards were then used fraudulently to make purchases at stores in Beeston.
Inquiries are ongoing into the offences which were committed on 18 March 2024.
PC Niamh Walker, of Nottinghamshire Police, said:
“We are continuing to work hard to trace the individual responsible for these crimes and remain determined to bring them to justice.
“As part of our ongoing investigation we’re urging anyone who recognises this man to please come forward and get in touch with us.
“Investigating burglaries is a big priority for us, but so is preventing them from happening in the first place.
“That’s why I’d like to remind all students to make sure all their doors and windows are locked, and to be aware of people seeking to follow them through locked doors.
“Having a phone or a laptop stolen can be distressing for anyone, but for a student it could mean them losing important work as well.”
Anyone who recognises the man pictured or who has any other information is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 840 of 18 March 2024, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
