Three-bed property looks completely normal – until you step inside and ‘get a migraine’
A swanky three-bed London property is ready to be snapped up for £599,995, but curious homebuyers have been left with headaches after looking inside the pad
This beautiful three-bed London-property might seem like a steal for £599,995 in today’s climate – but there’s more than meets the eye from the outside.
The house, located in located in Harringay, north London, boasts three bedrooms, two reception rooms, and a bathroom, and while it may look swanky, many have savagely mocked it for its interior – which they have dubbed ‘migraine-chic’.
From the outside it may look like any other British terraced house – but step inside the house and you’ll see what has got people talking online. There’s a running theme of grey and white in the house, with swirly grey wallpaper, velvet carpet and matching sofas and chairs.
The patterned wallpaper covers the two reception rooms, hallway and bathroom. In the dining room you’ll find grey velvet chairs, which match the two-piece sofa set in the living room.
This aesthetic follows the theme over the house, except for the children’s bedroom, which stands in stark contrast to the rest of the house. In fact, it’s so pink it gives Barbie’s dream house a run for its money.
Here you’ll find bright pink walls, a pink rug and matching pink bunk bed. Aside from the extreme interior, the property’s outside would need a lot of work for any potential buyer, as the garden looks pretty unkempt. And many also noted that there were full bin bags in front of the property.
While there are no doubt plenty of people who would love this aesthetic, others weren’t shy about keeping their opinions to themselves. The property was recently shared on Reddit, where many pointed out that they were getting headaches from looking at the extreme interior.
One person called it “migraine-chic”, while another joked: “Grey grey grey grey grey PIIIIINNNNNNKKKKK!! The poor children must feel visually assaulted when they step outside and there’s red, green, blue, yellow etc [sic]”.
A third added: “Need to go paint that grass grey really…,” and someone else likened the house to the “HQ of a cult”, while another said: “If you squint it looks like someone’s scribbled their fevered thoughts on the wall.”
“Neglected garden….dirty bins in the front of the house… Must be pleasant when open window,[sic]” noted another.
The house is being sold by the real estate agent, IC Property, who also note that there are several positives of the property – including the transport links, and a school nearby.
