Her passing is not believed to be suspicious, police have stated.
The death is being treated as unexplained while officers’ enquiries into the incident continue.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 12.50pm on Monday, May 11, 2026, police received a report of the sudden death of a woman at a property on John Wilson Street, Greenock.
“The death is being treated as unexplained, pending further enquiries, but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.”
