The US Department of Agriculture provided an update on the June Domestic and World Commodity supply and demand estimate for June 2026. World Agricultural Outlook Board Chairman Mark Jekanowski explains,” Still are too early to make any major changes for the other commodities like corn, soybeans. Planting is continuing. This time of year we’re going to be sticking to our acreage estimates that came out of the March intentions report and then looking ahead to the end of this month for that June acreage report to give kind of the next assessment of what farmers actually planted versus what they intended to plant in early March. So domestically a lot of focus is going to be on the wheat crop internationally.”

“Looking at the southern hemisphere, second crop corn in Brazil for that crop harvest is just getting started there. Last month we had a focus on Brazil’s corn crop in our WASDE briefing. We raised our production forecast for Brazil’s corn crop last month and we’re going to be continuing to watch the weather and gather information to see if we’re going to need to make any further changes this month,” said Jekanowski.
