Halls recruits new residential valuer in Oswestry office and also promotes one of its rising stars

A property firm has strengthened its Oswestry residential team by welcoming back an experienced former colleague and promoting one of its own rising stars.

Steven Murgatroyd returns to Halls as a residential valuer, having previously retired to care for his late wife Lesley.

He first joined the company in 2012 and brings with him almost three decades of estate agency experience and knowledge of the local market.

Nia Davies, 25 and from Ellesmere, has been promoted to senior sales negotiator and valuer.

She joined Halls’ in-house residential training programme in 2024, after a career with high street retailer M&S, and developed her skills as a valuer.

Managing director Jon Quinn said: “We are delighted to welcome Steven back to Halls and equally pleased to see Nia’s hard work rewarded with this promotion.

“These appointments perfectly demonstrate our approach as a business.

“We value experience and local knowledge while remaining committed to developing the next generation of property professionals through our residential training programme.

“Steven brings a wealth of expertise to our clients across the Oswestry area while Nia’s promotion shows the opportunities available to ambitious people who are prepared to work hard and develop their skills.

“Together they will be a tremendous asset to our growing Oswestry team.”

Nia added: “I am delighted to be joining the Oswestry branch as senior sales negotiator and valuer.

“I am incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement and guidance everyone at Halls has given me throughout my time with the company. I am excited to take on this new challenge and look forward to working with the fantastic team in Oswestry.”
