Vanguard has expanded its active fixed income range with the launch of its Vanguard Global Short-Term Core Bond fund.
Domiciled in Ireland, the fund will be co-managed by Ales Koutny, head of international rates, and Sarang Kulkarni, lead portfolio manager of Vanguard’s Global Credit range. It aims to provide investors access to short-term fixed income securities across the full range of investment-grade, government bonds, corporate and emerging market debt.
Koutny said: “Investors don’t want surprises from their fixed income funds.
“If you keep duration short, you tend to get fewer surprises.”
Co-portfolio manager Kulkarni, added: “We can look across different geographies and sectors to put together a portfolio that doesn’t rely on a handful of big ideas to deliver returns.”
This launch follows the Vanguard Global Core Bond fund and the Vanguard Global Strategic Bond Fund, which were launched in 2025.
