A Complete Guide to Nicole Kidman’s Multimillion-Dollar Homes

Share

Nicole Kidman may perhaps be one of the hardest-working women in Hollywood. The Oscar winner has been acting for four decades now, and her fifties have been her most prolific era yet. She’s currently back on-screen in season three of Taylor Sheridan’s Lioness, which premiered August 2 on Paramount+, and also prepping for the release of Practical Magic 2 with Sandra Bullock. She’s more in the limelight than ever.

She is also, it turns out, something of a real estate obsessive. Her Big Little Lies co-star Reese Witherspoon once jokingly called the two of them “the property girlies,” and the label fits. Over the past three decades, Kidman has bought, renovated, combined, and occasionally offloaded homes across three continents. Her taste leans towards homes that prioritize privacy and historic character.

With her divorce from Keith Urban finalized earlier this year and the former couple’s estimated $50 million property portfolio now divided behind closed doors, we’re taking a look at every home that has shaped Kidman’s journey.

Kidman’s first major real estate chapter began during her marriage to Tom Cruise, who she wed in 1990. The couple shared a luxurious home in Pacific Palisades, purchased by Cruise for $4.7 million shortly before the wedding. The property served as the family home where they raised their two adopted children, Isabella and Connor. When the couple divorced in 2001, Kidman assumed ownership of the property as part of their settlement.

Following her split from Cruise, Kidman put down roots in Manhattan. She purchased a sleek apartment in a Richard Meier-designed glass tower with views of the Hudson River. She got the full-floor unit in 2003, but her love affair with the apartment soured when a neighboring construction project on Charles Street blocked her prized river views. She then listed the place—the condo sold in 2012 for approximately $16 million. By then, Kidman and Urban had already moved their New York base to a different building across town.

Nashville Compound

In 2008, newlyweds Kidman and Keith Urban purchased a stately mansion in Nashville’s gated Northumberland community for $3.47 million. It became their primary family residence. At nearly 11,000 square feet, the seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom estate includes a home theater, a 30-foot-long hobby room, outdoor tennis courts, and a swimming pool. Urban also built a home recording studio on the grounds.

Following their divorce, Kidman and the couple’s two daughters, Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, have continued to reside here.

Before settling permanently in Northumberland, Kidman and Urban also owned a rustic-chic home in Franklin, a community about 30 minutes south of Nashville. The 35-acre gated property features a 5,086-square-foot main house with four bedrooms, a gym, recreation rooms, and a three-car garage with a utility barn. The former couple listed the home in 2016 and found a buyer in 2018 for $2.7 million, consolidating their Nashville life at the Northumberland estate.

Also in 2008—a banner year for the couple’s real estate ambitions—Kidman and Urban scooped up a contemporary home in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood for $4.7 million. The 3,997-square-foot residence was originally built in 1965. It sits on a lush 1.25-acre parcel within the guard-gated Hidden Valley Estates community, where neighbors have included Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lawrence, and Adele.

The home served as the couple’s West Coast base for years, but made headlines in February 2025 when the home was burglarized on Valentine’s Day. An intruder smashed a glass door, ransacked the interior, and fled after being scared off by a member of the couple’s staff. Kidman and Urban were in Las Vegas at the time. The status of this property post-divorce has not been confirmed.

Bunya Hill in Sutton Forest

In 2008, Kidman and Urban purchased Bunya Hill, a 110-acre pastoral estate in Sutton Forest, a quiet, affluent pocket of Australia’s Southern Highlands roughly 90 minutes southwest of Sydney. At its heart sits a six-bedroom mansion built in 1878, with wide verandas, soaring ceilings, and multiple fireplaces. Reports on the exact purchase price vary—estimates range from just over $4 million to $6.5 million—but since acquiring it, the couple has invested heavily in modernizing the grounds. They added a nearly 60-foot swimming pool, a full-size tennis court, and a gym. The property also features herds of alpacas and cattle, plus a separate stone guest cottage. The specifics of their divorce settlement were kept private, so it remains unclear who retained this property.

The Ernst & Young Tower at Latitude

Over more than a decade, Kidman and Urban assembled a mini-empire of units inside the Ernst & Young Tower at Latitude. It’s a 25-story residential tower in Australia’s Milsons Point that overlooks Sydney Harbor and the Harbor Bridge. They started in 2009 with a penthouse on the 21st floor, purchased for approximately $6 million. In 2012, they bought the neighboring penthouse for a reported $7 million and combined the two into one sprawling residence. Over the following years, they accumulated additional units in the building: a two-bedroom apartment in 2021 for $1.87 million, a one-bedroom fourth-floor unit in 2022 for $909,000, and a three-bedroom apartment on the 15th floor in 2023 for $5.2 million. In total, the former couple is reported to own six units in the tower, with their combined holdings in the building estimated at roughly $27.5 million. At the time of their separation, they were reported to hold six units in the tower, with combined holdings in the building estimated at roughly $27.5 million. How this Sydney real estate trove has been divided, or whether any units have been sold, has not been confirmed.

In 2010, Kidman and Urban moved into 200 Eleventh Avenue in West Chelsea, a luxury condominium built by Selldorf Architects famous for its “sky garage”—a car elevator system that delivers residents and their vehicles directly to private garages adjoining their apartments. The then-couple purchased their unit for approximately $10 million. The 3,248-square-foot space features three bedrooms, two terraces, and a double-height great room with a 23-foot cathedral ceiling. At the time of their split, it was the priciest single property in the former couple’s known portfolio.

Tribeca Pied-à-Terre

Kidman and Urban added a second New York property in early 2020: a two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom pied-à-terre in Tribeca, purchased for $3.5 million. The unit is in a landmarked building designed by architectural firm McKim, Mead & White, and features tall ceilings, oversized arched windows, and oak flooring. Its ownership status following the divorce remains unclear.

In 2025, Kidman applied for a residency permit in Portugal, sparking speculation that she was eyeing a home in CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, an ultra-exclusive gated development about an hour south of Lisbon. The 722-acre community, still partially under construction, features a golf course, an equestrian club, a beach club, and a wellness center. Its resident roster reportedly also includes Paris Hilton, George Clooney, and Princess Eugenie.

Before their separation, Kidman and Urban were said to have spent upward of $4.7 million on a residence within the development. A source told the New York Post at the time that their primary residence would still remain in Nashville.
