A spokesperson for South Lanarkshire Council said: “The three-week in-person consultation for the Hamilton Town Centre Masterplan, which was held in the Regent Centre, closed on Saturday, April 6.

“Council officers on site were encouraged by the numbers who turned out to learn about and discuss these significant proposals for the future of the town.

“As well as providing visitors with details of the plans, the face-to-face event was also an opportunity to answer questions, and for those attending to complete our feedback form to ensure their views were recorded.

“The information on display in the unit is still available to view as part of the online consultation, which remains open for a further three weeks.

“Feedback received from both the in-person and online consultations will be collated and considered as the master planning process moves forward.”
