Investment banks resist broader AI-driven decline in junior roles

Investment banking roles have bucked a broader decline in junior and entry-level headcount recorded across the banking industry in the US and UK, according to data provided exclusively to The Banker.

However, experts warn this trend could soon be reversed, cautioning that investment banking is “six months to a year behind everyone else” when it comes to fully embedding AI into junior and entry-level banking workflows.
