A number of senior executive moves have been announced by the UK-headquartered firm, which operates in a number of regions including Asia and parts of mainland Europe.

Wertz has more than 20 years of experience across finance and
corporate strategy. At BNY, he held dual roles as head of
finance for BNY International and CFO for Newton Investment

positions at Deutsche Bank and Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

In other moves, Aberdeen has named Steven Maguire as chief
operating and transformation officer for Asia-Pacific, joining
from Prudential plc. Most recently he served as global head of
technology for the technology product portfolio and
held senior leadership positions spanning group strategy and
business transformation. Based in Singapore, he reports to
Alain Courbebaisse, COO – Investments, and Ian Macdonald, CEO,
Asia-Pacific.

In Europe, David Hanzl has been appointed general manager/CEO,
Germany. Based in Frankfurt, Hanzl reports to Mandy Rawlinson,
head of UK and EMEA. He is relocating from Hong Kong, where
he previously served as head of wholesale, APAC at Aberdeen

regional operating officer for UBS Asset Management for
seven years.

A few days earlier, Aberdeen said it had appointed Vivian

The firm manages £48 billion ($64.4 billion) in assets (as at the
