Osborne Clarke advises Synova on investment in Mecsia to support expansion

Bristol-headquartered international legal practice Osborne Clarke has advised longstanding client and leading private equity investor Synova on its investment in Mecsia, a national provider of compliance-led, technical inspection and maintenance services, to support the next phase of its growth.

Mecsia generates revenues of more than £100 million and is growing sales organically at more than 25 per cent. The company employs more than 400 specialist engineers nationally to service its clients’ needs.

Synova will support Mecsia’s ambitious growth strategy, which is focused on continuing to win market share by delivering the highest level of service to clients, supplemented by strategic acquisitions which expand the Group’s technical service capabilities.

The Osborne Clarke team was led by private equity partners Alisdair Livingstone and Chris Yeo.

Alisdair said: “We were delighted to support Synova in delivering another successful transaction. This is an exciting time for the business and we look forward to supporting it on its next phase of its growth.”

Oliver Bevan, Partner at Synova, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with Jon and his management team for the next chapter in the Mecsia growth story. To date the team have delivered market leading performance with unparalleled client service. We look forward to supporting Mecsia’s continued vision to transform the technical service market”.
