SJP appoints senior investment specialist to newly created CIO Office

St James’s Place (SJP) has appointed Corinne Lord as senior investment specialist to its newly created CIO Office.

Lord joins SJP from Cazenove Capital, where she was investment product executive. Prior to this she worked at Legal & General Investment Management and Amundi Asset Management.

The new CIO Office brings together CIO-level investment expertise via a small group of specialists to help support the running of the investment process.

It will also help shape and increase transparency of SJP’s investment voice to its Partnership, clients, and external stakeholders.

The investment specialists will cover both SJP’s investment management approach and Rowan Dartington, SJP’s Discretionary Fund Management arm.

The appointment of Lord follows that of several senior external hires made in SJP’s investment team including Joe Wiggins as director of investment research and Hetal Mehta as head of economic research.

They join SJP’s head of investment specialists, Sarah Ruggins as members of the new CIO Office.

Justin Onuekwusi, chief investment officer at St James’s Place, said: “The appointment of Corinne will help to amplify SJP’s investment voice to the Partnership and within the wider marketplace, alongside the creation of the CIO Office.

“She comes to the team with a wealth of experience and will help to provide CIO level expertise on markets.

“As the largest wealth manager in the UK communicating our asset allocation decisions and long-term views on the market is crucial in helping a wider audience understand SJP’s approach to investment management.”
