Massive dilemma for thousands of mortgage holders coming to the end of fixed rates

Thousands of mortgage holders coming off fixed rates this year face a massive hike in monthly repayments. They have been warned not to wait until fixed-rate period is up and to seek out better rates now. Many of the 70,000 homeowners coming to the end of fixeds this year are likely to see monthly the annual cost of repayments shoot up by around €2,000 a year, brokers said.
