AI envisions the ‘perfect’ homes in 20 UK cities



Whether it’s a grand stately home or a futuristic apartment, we all have different ideas of what we think the ‘perfect home’ looks like.

Now, AI tool, Midjourney, has revealed what it envisions the perfect home looks like in 20 UK cities.

From a pastel pink property in London to a Bond villain-style house in Portsmouth, the renders highlight the vast range of architectural styles in Britain.

‘The AI-generated representations of houses across the country are captivating,’ said Kunle Barker, property expert and content creator for Grand Designs Live.

‘They skilfully encapsulate the architectural heritage of various regions, the current state of homes, and, most importantly, envision their future possibilities.’

London

Barbie fans rejoice – the perfect home in London is pastel pink, according to Midjourney. 

The Victorian property has elegant period features including sash windows, wrought iron railings and a mint green door. 

And with stunning green and pink foliage across the balcony, this pink palace is sure to be a hit with Instagram influencers on the quest for the perfect backdrop.  

Manchester 

It’s known for its industrial history, and that’s certainly reflected in Manchester’s perfect home. 

The modern, loft-style house features large windows, exposed brick walls and steel frames. 

While arguably less Instagram-friendly than the dream London home, this timeless home will appeal to the more discreet homeowners.

Birmingham’s perfect home is a Tudor house, according to Midjourney. 

The stunning building features the classic black and white façade, a gothic-style arch over the front door and a masonry chimney. 

Leeds 

Midjourney’s perfect home in Leeds isn’t too dissimilar to the perfect home in Birmingham. 

Crafted from grey stone, the home also features a monochromatic design, dark doors and a perfectly manicured garden leading up to the front door. 

Glasgow

The perfect Glaswegian home has a blend of historical and contemporary design, according to AI. 

Large, floor-to-ceiling windows adorn the walls, while one of the bedrooms has a large, ornate balcony looking over the spacious front garden.  

Portsmouth and Southampton

At first glance at AI’s perfect home in Portsmouth and Southampton, you’d be forgiven for mistaking it as a Bond villain’s lair. 

The futuristic home features large windows and a winding wall, as well two huge balconys on the mid-level and roof.

Spherical lights adorn the walls, while the exterior features asymmetric curving walls. 

This home isn’t for minimalists, with gaudy blue furniture clashing against psychedelic purple lights.

Newcastle-upon-Tyne

The perfect home in Newcastle-upon-Tyne almost resembles a hotel, thanks to its oblong, convex window at the front. 

Its overall design is a mixture of modern and medieval, with a dramatic entrance hallway and unique, pointed design features adorning the roof. 

Nottingham

Unusual hexagonal windows make Nottingham’s perfect home instantly attention-grabbing. 

Homeowners can enjoy their time on three balconies, although the glass design might not suit those hoping to keep a low profile.
