BTG Eddisons Property Auctions is set to host a major live auction showcase at Bramall Lane in Sheffield on 24 June, bringing hundreds of property investors, clients and business contacts to the city.
The event will give a behind-the-scenes look at how a major digital-first property auction operates, with attendees experiencing the speed and mechanics of an online live stream auction, while networking with people from across the sector.
Sheffield auctioneer Adrian Little will be accompanied on the rostrum by Lucy Crapper, who joined the BTG Eddisons Property Auctions team earlier this month, to conduct bidding throughout the day.
Hosted at the Sheffield United stadium, the event will coincide with day one of BTG Eddisons Property Auctions’ first ever two-day live stream auction.
From June, the firm will move to a new monthly two-day live stream auction format, expanding its existing model to meet growing demand from buyers and sellers, and increasing the number of lots going under the hammer across the UK.
The Sheffield showcase builds on the success of BTG Eddisons Property Auctions’ first auction networking event last October, when more than 100 guests attended a behind-the-scenes event in Stockport.
While guests will attend in person at Bramall Lane, the auction itself will be fully online, with most bidding continuing to take place remotely on the internet, by proxy and on the telephone from a national buyer audience.
Andrew Parker, partner and auctioneer at BTG Eddisons Property Auctions, said: “The Sheffield event is an opportunity to showcase our auctions and give clients and contacts a genuine behind-the-scenes insight into how a major modern property auction works.
“Sheffield is an important market for our business and Yorkshire continues to see strong levels of activity from both buyers and sellers.
“Our live stream model continues as normal, with bidding taking place remotely through a national buyer audience, but hosting this special event at Bramall Lane gives guests the opportunity to experience the scale, energy and expertise involved first-hand.
“We are excited to be holding the auction at Bramall Lane. It’s an iconic Sheffield venue and an ideal venue for an event designed to bring clients together and showcase the rapid evolution of the modern property auction process.”
BTG Eddisons Property Auctions is one of the UK’s largest property auction businesses, offering around 400 residential, commercial, land and development lots each month. It was formed by uniting the regional brands Pugh, SDL Property Auctions, Mark Jenkinson and Network Auctions.
