Man dies in ‘unexplained’ flat fire in Perth as police launch probe

Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are investigating.
An investigation has been launched after a man died in a Scots flat fire. Flames tore through the property in Perth in the early hours of this morning.
The man was in a property in the city’s St Catherine’s Road when tragedy struck. Emergency services were called to attend and the man was found within the property.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, with firefighters having spent around two hours tackling the blaze, after four fire engines attended the incident.
