Linear Living has secured planning consent for a 24-storey residential scheme on Lord Street in Manchester’s Green Quarter.
The development will provide 251 new homes comprising 82 one-bed and 165 two-bed apartments in addition to four townhouses. Seven homes will be adaptable for residents with additional needs, such as wheelchair-users.
The long-vacant site previously housed retail and commercial units fronting Cheetham Hill Road, which have been partially demolished. Linear Living anticipates work commencing on site before the end of the year with completion targeted for early 2029.

The project team includes Linear Design and Construct, AEW Architects, Enabl, Rihbell and Peak Properties, which advised on the acquisition.
