Police seize dogs and cats from Long Sutton property

Nearly 90 dogs and two cats were seized from a home over the weekend.

Lincolnshire Police were called after a large number of dogs were found outside a property in Long Sutton on Saturday (June 27).

Officers seized a total of 88 dogs and two cats after receiving an urgent warrant.

A force spokesman has asked the public to avoid speculation which could hamper the investigation.

She said: “All animals are now safe and receiving the appropriate care and treatment.

“We appreciate that this is a highly emotive situation; however, we would remind the public that speculation can be harmful to our ongoing investigation. We will continue to provide updates when appropriate, and we ask that people allow us the time and space to carry out our enquiries and ensure the best possible outcome.”
