WYTHEVILLE, Va. (WDBJ) – Virginia State Police say an operation in Wytheville and Bristol resulted in an arrest, along with the confiscation of illicit substances, a gun and fiat money.
Troopers say 33-year-old Brandon Garden, of Bristol, was taken into custody; Garden was charged with:
- Distribution Of Marijuana Over Five Pounds
- Two counts of Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance
- Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of a Schedule I Controlled Substance
Thursday, search warrants were executed by law enforcement at two cannabis stores (Best Buds of Bristol and Best Buds of Wytheville) and the home of Garden, a business owner, according to police.
VSP says the bust resulted in:
- 17,083 grams of cannabis valued at $204,996
- 1,173 THC vapes valued at $35,190
- 1,163 grams of THC edibles valued at $13,956
- A gram of cocaine valued at $89
- 80 bottles of THC syrup valued at $11,100
- 63 grams of psychedelic mushrooms valued at $2,457
- 23 doses of LSD valued at $230
- 4,136 grams of THC wax valued at $202,664
- A Glock
- $394,926.06 in United States currency
Virginia State Police say members of the Wytheville and Bristol Police Departments are members of the task force that aided in the investigation.
