Cambodia unveils FMIS Phase IV to boost transparency, efficiency

The Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) on Tuesday launched the Financial Management Information System (FMIS) Project Phase IV for 2026–2030, aimed at enhancing transparency, efficiency and oversight in public finance management.

The official launch ceremony was presided over by Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance, and attended by Igor Driesmans, European Union Ambassador to Cambodia, in Phnom Penh on April 7.

The FMIS Phase IV was designed to strengthen the management and monitoring of public finances, improve efficiency and ensure transparency across government agencies.

Key participants included Bou Chanphirou, Director General of the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC); Ney Sakal, Deputy Director General of the Trust Regulator (TR); and Toem Satya, Director of the General Affairs Department of the Accounting and Auditing Regulator (ACAR).
