Seraphim Space Investment Trust Plc (LSE:SSIT) highlighted new and follow-on portfolio investments during September 2026, including funding rounds involving Pixxel and Hubble.
The investment trust said it co-led hyperspectral imaging company Pixxel’s $100 million Series C financing round. It also participated in satellite connectivity company Hubble’s $200 million fundraising, which valued Hubble at $1.6 billion.
The investments increase SSIT’s exposure to technologies including Earth observation and satellite-based connectivity. Hubble is developing satellite-enabled Bluetooth connectivity, while Pixxel operates in the hyperspectral imaging market.
Elsewhere in the portfolio, companies including ICEYE, HawkEye 360, Voyager Technologies, Astroscale and LeoLabs reported contracts and partnerships during the period. These activities covered areas including Earth intelligence, defence applications, orbital debris management and radar infrastructure.
Seraphim New Space Index Underpins New ETF
Seraphim Space also highlighted the launch of the Seraphim New Space UCITS ETF, which is based on the Seraphim New Space Index.
SSIT is the largest constituent of the index. The investment product is intended to provide public-market exposure to companies operating across the commercial space sector.
The newsletter also noted developments elsewhere in the space industry, including SpaceX’s first orbital Starship mission and a Spectrum launch by Isar Aerospace.
Seraphim Space additionally noted share-price volatility among publicly traded SpaceTech companies following recent initial public offerings.
