CII opens entries open for insurance and personal finance talent programme – The Intermediary

Its New Generation Programme will give up to 60 emerging professionals the chance to build leadership skills and shape the sector. 

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has opened entries for its New Generation Programme, giving up to 60 emerging professionals the chance to build leadership skills and shape the sector. 

Successful participants will take part in a programme that includes direct access to senior industry, regulatory and policy leaders, a parliamentary visit, media and presentation training, innovation sessions led by EDII, and a showcase event presenting ideas to senior professionals.

Callum Beaton, president of the CII, said: “The New Generation Programme continues to provide a unique opportunity for talented professionals to broaden their horizons, develop new skills and build valuable connections across the profession. 

“At a time of significant change across the insurance sector, it is more important than ever that we invest in future focused leaders who will help drive innovation, champion professionalism and contribute to the future success of our profession. 

“We look forward to welcoming the next cohort and supporting them on their development journeys.”

Carla Brown, president of the Personal Finance Society (PFS), said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for emerging professionals in personal finance to invest in their development, expand their networks and gain valuable insight into the issues that are shaping the future of our profession. 

“Programmes like this are vital in helping us nurture the next generation of talent and ensure we continue to build a profession that is inclusive, forward-looking and equipped to meet the evolving needs of clients.”

Florence Dennis, lead business partner at Willis Networks and New Generation Programme alumni, said: “The CII New Generation programme provided me with fantastic opportunities to elevate my career, from presenting in Parliament to engaging with key stakeholders at the FCA.
