Accomack real estate and personal property taxes due Friday

Share

Accomack County Treasurer James A. Lilliston is reminding residents that real estate and personal property taxes are due Friday, June 5.

The Treasurer’s Office said payments must be postmarked on or before June 5 to avoid late penalties. Taxpayers may also place payments in the drop box located outside the Accomack County Administration Building in Accomac or pay in person at the Treasurer’s Office. Officials are asking residents to bring their tax bills with them to help speed up the payment process.

Online payments are available through the county’s tax payment website at www.accomacktax.com. The Treasurer’s Office noted that electronic check, or e-check, payments are available for a flat fee of $1.50 and are generally the most economical online payment option.

The county has also added a new Pay By Phone service. Taxpayers may make payments by calling 757-891-6768. An account number is required when using the telephone payment system.

Residents with questions about their tax bills or payment options are encouraged to contact the Accomack County Treasurer’s Office.
