Law Society offers expertise on possible Agricultural Relief reform

Society proposes to assist with any potential changes to ensure they work for farm families

The Law Society of Ireland has written to the Ministers for Finance and Agriculture, offering its expertise if changes to Agricultural Relief are made.

The letter comes after moves proposed in last year’s Budget to prevent ‘high rollers’ from using Agricultural Relief as a tax-planning strategy were parked amid concerns about unintended consequences and complex knock-on effects for farm families.
