The next day (June 22), Northampton County Sheriff’s Deputy J. Johnson served Morris with a warrant for arrest as a fugitive for outstanding charges out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Those charges consisted of Megan’s Law, Fail to Register, Fail to Verify, and Fail to Provide.

In Pennsylvania, Megan’s Law requires individuals convicted of certain sex crimes to register with the Pennsylvania State Police and maintain their registration for 15 years, 25 years, or life.

Morris did not receive a bond due to Fugitive Process Hold.

Northampton County Sheriff Jack Smith commended Deputy D. Pate and Sergeant R. Battle for their swift response and developing probable cause to charge Kenneth Calvin Morris Jr. in this case.
