For sale with Fermoy-based Collins-O’Meara Auctioneers, a farm at Kilcannon, Enniscorthy, Co. Wexford is on the market and selling.

The property features 65 acres of excellent land, some high-quality outbuildings and a superb home built in traditional style in recent years.

“This is top class,” says selling agent Denis Collins. “It’s second to none. We put it up about four weeks ago and offers so far have put its value considerably above where I thought it would have been.”

The holding, which is 2km from Enniscorthy, features extensive equine facilities. These include a three-column barn with lean-to, three large stables, mass concrete walls, automatic drinkers, electricity and CCTV system, another three-column barn with lean-to with four stables.

There’s also a lofted outhouse.

The property is offered in lots.

  • Lot 1 consists of the dwelling house, yard and buildings on six acres, with a guide price of €650,000.
  • Lot 2 comprises the remaining 59 acres of land, which are predominantly in tillage and which are guided at €18,000/acre.
  • Lot 3 is the entire holding.

“The house is beautiful,” says Denis. “Built five to six years ago, it’s A-rated (BER) with 2,100ft2 of living space. And it’s finished to an exceptionally high standard.”

For many people, the house on six acres will be a big attraction, particularly with the combination of ready-to-move-into house and facilities.

Although they are aimed in particular at the equestrian sector, this is a holding that can interest all agricultural activity and already, offers coming in have exceeded expectations.
